Itinerary

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by Afoyo African Safaris representative. Enjoy a short city tour, including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local craft shops, and panoramic viewpoints. Accommodation: Serena Kigali | Marriotte Hotel

After breakfast, drive east to Akagera National Park, Rwanda's only savannah park and home to the Big Five. Enjoy an afternoon boat safari on Lake Ihema, where hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species thrive. Accommodation: Akagera Rhino Lodge

Morning after breakfast After, depart for Musanze at the foothills of the Virunga volcanoes. Accommodation: Mountain Gorilla View Lodge

Today is the highlight of your safari! After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting your gorilla trek. Spend an unforgettable hour with a gorilla family in their natural habitat. Afternoon visit to Iby'Iwacu Cultural Village (optional). Accommodation: Mountain Gorilla View Lodge

Enjoy a second primate encounter as you trek through the bamboo forest to visit the playful golden monkeys. After the trek, return to Kigali for your departure flight or hotel drop-off.
