Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Transfer & Rhino Tracking to Murchison Falls National Park

Upon your arrival at the airport, your guide/driver will warmly welcome you and begin your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. The drive takes you through Uganda’s picturesque countryside, where lush greenery and vibrant roadside fruit and vegetable markets provide a glimpse into rural life.

Your first exciting stop will be at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an unforgettable rhino tracking experience. Depending on where the rhinos are located, your trek may last anywhere from a few minutes to an hour. After a briefing from your expert ranger, you’ll set off on foot to track these magnificent creatures. Once you’ve completed the trek, enjoy a delicious lunch before continuing your drive toward the national park.

Arriving later that evening at your exclusive camp, you’ll check in and prepare for a sundowner experience at Nyamsika Viewpoint. Here, you’ll enjoy stunning panoramic views as the sun sets, marking the perfect end to your first day in the wild.

Day 2: Morning Walking Safari & Afternoon Game Drive – Murchison Falls National Park

Start your day with an early breakfast at 6:30 am, then embark on a morning walk toward Te Okot, a scenic trek lasting 2.5-3.5 hours. The terrain is open and slightly hilly, with picturesque gullies and towering Borassus palms. This is a prime opportunity to spot a parade of elephants and a variety of antelopes, particularly during the dry season. Afterward, enjoy a well-deserved early lunch around noon, followed by a relaxing siesta to unwind and fully soak in the surrounding wilderness.

Head out on an exciting game drive through Murchison Falls National Park in the afternoon. The park offers a range of trails, giving you the chance to explore its diverse vegetation and rich wildlife. Cruise through the savanna in our custom-made vehicles, offering the perfect opportunity to capture stunning photos of giraffes gracefully gliding across the grasslands, buffalo, Jackson’s hartebeests, Uganda kobs, and majestic lions. Look out for herds of waterbucks, fishermen on Lake Albert, and other fascinating wildlife.

With the Big 4 already spotted at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, you’ll be on the lookout for the remaining members of the Big Five. The game drive continues until 5 pm, when you’ll return to your lodge to relax, enjoy a delicious dinner, and unwind for the night, reflecting on a day filled with incredible wildlife encounters.

Day 3: Long Walking Safari & Boat Trip to the Base of Murchison Falls

After an early breakfast, set off on a thrilling long walking safari toward the River Nile, an adventure lasting 4-5 hours. Be prepared for some wading through the warm, shallow waters of the Victoria Nile, so sandals are highly recommended. As you walk along the riverbed, keep your eyes peeled for a variety of wildlife, including waterbucks, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, hartebeests, elephants, and even the occasional hyena. Along the way, you’ll also spot countless animal footprints, offering a fascinating glimpse into the local wildlife activity.

At the end of the walk, a boat will be waiting to whisk you away on a 2-hour boat safari along the Nile to the base of the mighty Murchison Falls. As you cruise along, you’ll be surrounded by breathtaking views and a wide variety of wildlife. Enjoy a delicious packed lunch on board while soaking in the sights.

After your unforgettable boat safari, return to your camp in the late afternoon to unwind, relax, and reflect on a day full of adventure in the heart of Uganda’s wilderness.

Day 4: Top of the Falls & Transfer to Entebbe International Airport

After a delicious and relaxing breakfast, enjoy a scenic walk around the Nyamsika riverbed (1.5-2 hours), immersing yourself in the peaceful surroundings before setting off on your journey to Entebbe Airport. En route, we’ll stop at the top of Murchison Falls to witness the incredible sight of the Nile River being squeezed through a narrow 7-meter gap, creating a thunderous roar. Known as one of the world’s most powerful waterfalls, it’s an awe-inspiring sight, often accompanied by a stunning rainbow that contrasts beautifully with the crashing waters.

After taking in the spectacular views, we’ll continue our journey to Entebbe Airport, where your unforgettable safari experience will come to a close as you board your outbound flight.
